From burnt out to balanced:
Melanie J White is a nationally recognised women’s health advocate and workplace wellbeing strategist. With 25+ years of experience in science, coaching and business leadership, she brings a unique blend of evidence-based insight and lived expertise to help women thrive – and stay – at work through life’s transitions like menopause and midlife.
In 2007, I was burned out in my role as GM of an environmental consulting firm. The demands were intense, and I kept wondering, “Why does everything feel harder than it used to?”
I left my science career and moved into personal training, women’s health, and business coaching. And while I loved my work, I still found myself depleted. When burnout hit again in 2015, I knew I’d been giving too much to work and not enough to myself.
That wake-up call reshaped everything. I saw how emotional and physical wellbeing are essential to sustainable success – and how small, consistent habits can rebuild energy and confidence.
Coaching around both women’s health and business, I’ve come to see that while work and life may seem separate, they’re deeply connected. And after supporting professional women since 2010, I’ve witnessed how lasting health behaviour change builds resilience, restores vitality, and helps women thrive across all areas of life.
Today, I help professional, down-to-earth women to lead with clarity and strength through midlife. I’m also CEO of Sage Womens Health, a collective providing integrated, expert care for women at work.
